History of Madeira

Texas Map

Established in 2000, Haak Vineyards & Winery is an award-winning, family-owned winery located in Santa Fe, Texas, just a few miles south of Houston. Recognized by Texas Monthly, the Houston Chronicle, and the Houston Press, Haak has become most known for producing two unique wines from two grapes that are new to the wine world, including Blanc du Bois, a grape with Florida origins, and the Black Spanish or Jacquez grape, which produces the distinctive Haak Texas Madeira. With founder and winemaker Raymond Haak at the helm, Haak was the first winery established in Galveston County and is open for public and private tours and tastings.
